A boater that passed through the lock gates at Marmont Priory left the lock slackers open, letting water from the Well Creek into the lock and sent water pouring into the March Riverside, Old River Nene. The water level in the Creek reduced quite considerably and meant some of the boats in the Creek bottomed out.
All boaters, please ensure all lock gates are secured, including the lock slackers.
