Good news, the new Fishing Platform has been approved by the borough council. This means Martin Scott will be able to start planning the build, including COVID-19 precautions. Martin informed me that it should only take a weekend to complete. This will be a fantastic facility for our local youngsters to learn how to fish from Martin and means they will have a purpose built platform used for fishing only. COVID-19 permitting, there is a plan to have a small opening ceremony. Martin has managed to recruit a lot of volunteers for the work, including the owner of a mechanical digger. This platform will compliment the 2 special fishing platforms built for the physically challenged at the Aqueduct bridge.
